Job Summary:

Avir T Paluxy, a 95-bed premier skilled nursing facility, is searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team! As a CNA at Avir at Paluxy, you will provide non-professional direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, while assisting in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for our residents. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care, nursing care, and food service functions, including assisting residents with activities of daily living, preparing residents for meals, and recording food intake.

  • Read and follow daily care plans, perform assigned restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and report changes in resident condition to the nurse in charge.

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to safety, sanitation, and infection control policies and procedures.

  • Develop positive relationships with residents, visitors, and government regulators, promoting a professional appearance and attitude.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges, and participating in training, educational activities, and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the State or must within four (4) months of employment have completed state required training and a competency evaluation program.

  • Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

  • Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates.

  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance and performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
