Athens Health and Rehab is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to support our Nursing Services Department. If you’re a compassionate leader with a passion for quality care, we’d love to meet you!

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, develop, and direct the daily operations of the Nursing Services Department
Participate in interviewing and screening residents for admission
Review nurses’ notes to ensure proper documentation of treatments, medications, and resident conditions
Conduct daily rounds to observe resident care and identify needs
Communicate with physicians and visit selected residents regularly
Assist the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator with planning, scheduling, and revising MDS assessments, including implementing RAPs and triggers

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with 1+ year of leadership experience as an ADON, DON, or similar role in long-term care
Experience with the geriatric population strongly preferred

Leader in Practice Setting & Community demonstrates leadership as change agents using the collaborative leadership skills of advocacy, influence, and innovation. Provides high level contributions to the onsite nurses' knowledge of pathophysiology, pharmacology, hemodynamics, bedside technology, and nursing care. Ability to use independent, critical judgment in all aspects of patient care delivery. Demonstrated interpersonal skills that convey a positive and supportive attitude. Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities, urgent responses, and challenging situations. Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of the job, especially regarding activities impacting patient or employee safety or security. Hearing / Visual requirement The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $54.12 per hour plus per diem differential!
