
Registered Nurse - Neuro Surgery Clinic
Job Description
Join a fast-paced neurosurgery practice that focuses on complex surgical care of the brain and spine. Our team manages patients undergoing advanced procedures, requiring an RN who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident coordinating care across a busy clinic environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume setting, communicates effectively with patients and providers, and takes pride in accuracy and follow-through. Experience with surgical scheduling and insurance precertification is strongly preferred.
Coordinates and delivers patient care using the health care team philosophy practice model. Coordinates and does patient teaching and discharge planning. Coordinates activities with ancillary departments. Maintains standards of department and the hospital.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
Education - Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Experience - Previous experience in general duty nursing preferred but not required.
Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), Active RN Mississippi Licensure.
Special Skills - Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric, limitations and planned procedures. Requires good judgment in delivering patient care; good oral and written communication skills; ability to function in stressful situations. Must be willing to rotate shifts, days off and work area; may occasionally be required to work overtime.
