We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities include:

  •        Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.

  •        Assist resident with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care as needed.

  •        Assist in monitoring medication programs.

  •        Dispenses medication in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record for all residents.

  •        Monitor and report any resident changes in condition in accordance with and rules and regulations and PSL policies.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)  Education & Experience:

  •        Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing.

  •        Minimum of one year of experience working as a nurse serving a senior population

  •        Compassion for and desire to work with elderly, required.

($7,500.00 for those with less than one year of experience) Position Summary: Responsible for the delivery of resident care through the nursing process of planning, implementation, and evaluation. Guides resident teaching and the activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing. Understands and adheres to GCMC’s Compliance Standards as they appear in GCMC’s Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and GCMC regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. Directs patient to exam room and prepares patient for exam or treatment by identifying height, weight, respirations, blood pressure, temperature, additional testing, and records same on chart. Will also interview patient to obtain history allergies, reconciles medication list and records on chart as requested. 2. Write or call Rx after obtaining surgeon/provider authorization for all department surgeons/providers as needed. Chart as written in patient's chart 3. Email, fax or call in any insurance referrals.
