Park Avenue Extended Care is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to support our mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care. As an RN Unit Manager, you'll work closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing to ensure efficient nursing operations and an exceptional resident experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in managing day-to-day nursing operations

  • Supervise, mentor, and hold nursing staff accountable to ensure adherence to care standards

  • Address and escalate staff concerns or grievances as appropriate

  • Monitor staffing levels; optimize scheduling to reduce overtime and agency usage

  • Conduct staff evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed

  • Foster teamwork and maintain a positive, collaborative work culture across the unit

  • Participate in quality assurance initiatives, budget planning, and internal committees

  • Oversee MDS completion and collaborate on discharge planning with families and care teams

  • Ensure compassionate, individualized care for residents and their families

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York

  • Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
