Northern Cardinal Nursing Home is a skilled nursing and long-term care facility committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to join our clinical team and play a key role in improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
Position Summary
The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for the assessment, treatment, and prevention of wounds in our resident population. This role works closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure best-in-class wound care management.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, monitor, and document wound conditions and progress
Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
Perform wound care treatments and dressing changes
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
Educate nursing staff on wound prevention and treatment protocols
Ensure compliance with infection control and regulatory standards
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
Active RN or LPN license in the state of Virginia
Experience in wound care, skilled nursing, or long-term care preferred
Wound Care Certification (WCC, WOCN, or similar) strongly preferred
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
