We have an opening for a full-time Surgical Technologist.

What You Will Do (Job Summary):

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Required Skills:

High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certification required
1+ years experience working as a Surgical Technician with multiple types of procedures
Experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
BLS accredited by AHA required

Arrange and inventories sterile set-up for operation and passes items as needed to the surgical team. Understand and apply the principles of asepsis. Establish and maintain sterile field and assure team maintains sterile environment. Assist in preparation and moving of patients. Cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes instrumentation. Assists with clean-up and room turnover. Access computer information as needed, such as preference lists and digital images. Participates in all safety initiatives. Qualifications Requires: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology school or recognized course of training as a Surgical Technologist is required Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required at date of hire Washington State Surgical Technologist Registration required by date of hire.
