Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. Principal Responsibilities: This position reports to Home Health Director and is supervised by RN’s, PT’s, OT’s, SLP’s Understands and adheres to established Agency policies and procedures. Performs personal care, bath, and hands-on care as assigned. Completes appropriate visit records in a timely manner as per Agency policy. Reports changes in the patient's condition and needs to the RN. Performs household services essential to health care in the home as assigned. Ambulates and exercises the patient as assigned. Performs simple procedures as an extension of the therapy or nursing services, e.g., range of motion (ROM) exercises as assigned. Assists with medications that are ordinarily self-administered as assigned. Attends in-service and continuing education programs as scheduled and necessary. Attends patient care conferences as scheduled. Preferred Qualifications Home care and home health background. Experience working in a home healthcare environment. Familiarity with healthcare regulations, HIPAA compliance, and patient privacy requirements. Knowledge of the local healthcare market and community outreach strategies. Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Wellsky Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
