The RN provides professional nursing care to patients receiving diagnostic or therapeutic services across various healthcare settings. While critical care experience is a strong asset, candidates with solid medical-surgical backgrounds and strong critical thinking skills are also well-suited for success in this position. A caregiver in this position works 4-10s| 7:00am—5:00pm| weekend, holiday, and on-call rotation . A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings. Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings. Perform telephone triage and call rotations. Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications. Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team. Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning. Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care. Educate patients and families. Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure quality clinical outcomes. Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes to the appropriate provider. Administer medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain proper documentation and follow facility policies and procedures. Rotate every other weekend as part of the supervisory schedule. This position will be off the cart only when the census is at 95 or above; otherwise, nurse will take a medication cart .
