A caregiver in this position works varying shifts between 7:00AM – 7:30PM or 7:00PM – 7:30AM. Floating between Martin North, Martin South and Tradition Hospitals is required, as needed. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will: 

  • Provide patient care through the application of sound Nursing Practice procedures and practices. 
  • Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined periods.


  • Assess and document patient's pain levels utilizingappropriate protocols.


  • Prioritize and document patient problems based on assessed needs/problems in collaboration with the patient, family, and health care team.


  • Establish and implement plans of care in collaboration with other disciplines that promote wellness and facilitate the discharge process.


  • Monitor and document patient's condition and effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.


  • Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing(ADN or BSN program)


  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN)


  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or ALS and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross


  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) within the last year


  • Two years of recent experience in Emergency Department


Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
