Grace Cottage Hospital is a critical access hospital located in Townshend, VT. We are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our community, and we are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Hospitalist Provider to join our team. As a critical access hospital, we play a vital role in serving the healthcare needs of our community, and we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to excellence and compassionate care.


As a Hospitalist at Grace Cottage, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients admitted to our facility. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of top-notch patient care. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in internal medicine, capable of managing a diverse range of medical conditions, and comfortable working in a critical access hospital setting.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Admit, evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in the hospital.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, support staff and our network of Tele-Medicine services.
  • Manage and oversee the care of hospitalized patients from admission to discharge.
  • Conduct daily rounds and participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and communicate results to patients.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions and treatment plans.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree in medicine from an accredited school or completion of a master's, post-master's, or doctorate from a nurse practitioner program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) with emphasis on the NP's specialty area and have current certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
  • Licensed to practice in Vermont
  • Current DEA
  • Insurability (malpractice)
