We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner to our Ortho Trauma team.

 

Hours:  Modified full-time – 36 hours – 3-12-hr shifts rotating days every 3 months to accommodate 7 days per week.

Shift: Day/evening shift – weekend, holiday rotation

Location:  St. Luke’s Hospital, Charlton Memorial Hospital & Tobey Hospital

Responsibilities

  • Under the general supervision and direction of the Chief of Orthopedics and Ortho Trauma Physician Lead, Director of Operations or designee, conduct a wide variety of patient care and related duties in support of SPG Surgeons.
  • Position will function as first call for all orthopedic emergency department consults with physician back-up primarily for surgical consults.
  • Conduct rounds as needed for Orthopedic Trauma patients.
  • Assist in OR for orthopedic cases as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
  • Knowledge and skill of orthopedic disorders and treatments is required.
  • Surgical First Assistant experience is required.
  • Skill in operating medical equipment, a variety of software applications and multiple projects is required AND/OR Nurse Practitioner is required.
  • One year experience preferred.
  • Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants within one year of hire is required.
  • Qualified in all basic and advanced cardiac support standards is required.
  • Eligible for state and federal controlled substances registration.
  • Must be current with Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.

Pay Range

USD $66.00 - USD $92.00 /Hr.

Rotation Schedule Requirement

3 12's rotating days every 3 months to accommodate 7 days per week
