Job Description
This role is part-time working 20 hours per week.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Minimum 1 year pediatric/specialty experience
- Minimum 1 year training or orienting clinical staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Previous mentoring, precepting experience
- Experience in orienting different roles to clinical care (student, new graduate, experienced RN)
Education
- Graduate from accredited school of nursing
Certification Summary
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment or upon start of clinical shift if working in the Emergency Department (ED)
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition Stabilization (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association as required by department

Technical Skills
- Acts as a resource for accessing policies and procedures.
- Acts as a resource for accessing available resources (i.e., Vascular Access).
- Facilitates completion of the competency checklist.
- Serves a super user for various processes or new equipment.
- Acts as a resource and assists with the training of equipment, supplies, and instruments.
- Maintains competence to provide and/or assist with clinical care.
- Promotes safe patient care and bundle compliance as applicable.
Critical Thinking

- Supports and facilitates system/campus/unit-based projects or initiatives as needed.
- Facilitates department-based bootcamps, classes, and skills checks.
