Position Overview:

 

The Nurse Manager is a key leadership role responsible for the coordination, supervision, and clinical oversight of nursing services within our inpatient rehabilitation unit in collaboration with Chief Nursing Officer.

 

This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in alignment with regulatory standards, hospital policies, and evidence-based practices.

 

The Nurse Manager serves as a mentor and resource to nursing staff, fostering professional growth, accountability, and a culture of teamwork. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, the Nurse Manager facilitates optimal patient outcomes through effective communication, staff development, resource management, and continuous performance improvement.

 

This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, healing environment where patients recovering from complex medical conditions, surgeries, or trauma receive comprehensive rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. The Nurse Manager actively contributes to strategic planning, staffing, quality initiatives, and regulatory readiness to support the hospital’s mission of restoring function and improving lives.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Current, valid, and active state Registered Nurse license in the state of employment required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Two years relevant experience required.
  • Three years’ experience in a hospital nurse supervisory or management position preferred.

 

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Knowledge of and adherence to current nursing theory and practice, infection control, and wound care standards of practice.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards to ensure adherence to all standards set forth by state and accrediting agencies of TJC and CMS.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
