The Clinical Nurse Educator assists with educational needs assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of unit-based clinical education for primary staff in assigned clinical areas. The educator will support all unit based educational activities such as onboarding new personnel, in-service education and continuing education programs for all UMC Clinics. Your Everyday Education: Assists with the coordination, development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education in the assigned clinical areas. The RN will coordinate nursing care for patients while in the clinical environment. They will participate in patient and family teaching and provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assessing the patient systematically, utilizing the assessment data to plan appropriate nursing care, obtaining pertinent physical and psychosocial problems and using this as a tool in implementing patient care, and identifying the learning needs of patients and family members.
