Caregiver Responsibilities and Duties

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living (ADL's):

Personal hygiene (assisting to bathroom or in using a bedpan, bathing, care of mouth, shaving, skin, and hair)
Ambulation/Transfers
Eating
Dressing/Grooming
Prepares meals and snacks
Accompany clients on errands or medical appointments.

Performs client-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home Care Manager or Nurse:

Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises

Caregiver Qualifications and Skills:

We care for adult patients 18 or older who are being treated for a variety of medical diagnoses. Our unit is unique because we have a blended emergency department and inpatient stepdown care delivery model. Our patient population encompasses a variety of diagnoses and levels of care. Shifts Available: Full-Time Day Shift - 6:45 am - 7:15 pm (three 12-hour shifts/week) Full-Time Night Shift - 6:45 pm - 7:15 am (three 12-hour shifts/week) Shifts rotate throughout the week Note: Set schedules are not available. Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs. All Employees (Night shift & PRN included) are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment. What You Need to Qualify: Required : High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) AND one of the following: Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester ( including nursing fundamentals clinical ), or Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required ), or Minimum of one year of recent experience ( within the past two years ) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.
