Overview As an Ophthalmology RN, your strong detail orientation and multi-tasking skills will be essential in our fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will provide a safe and efficient environment for all patients in our Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) during the perioperative phases Responsibilities Greets and admit patients to the pre-/post-operative area Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care using the nursing process and take into account individual patient needs Prepares operating suite for patients - monitor cleanliness, assemble supplies, instruments and sutures, check equipment for proper functioning Assesses patient’s condition on arrival in surgery and provide physical or emotional support as needed Assists Anesthesia Provider and Surgeon during procedures, maintaining constant awareness of the operative situation and a safe environment for patients and personnel Evaluates, observes, and treats patients under local anesthesia Maintains accurate and complete records of patients’ surgical experience Starts IVs, gives medications, and prepares drugs and solutions per physician protocols Prepares for and manages immediate postoperative care, including transporting patients to recovery room, communicating patient needs, and providing patient and family training Assists in orientation of new team members and cross-training of existing personnel Obtains patient history through interviews and evaluations, noting data in chart and sharing pertinent information with physician Qualifications Associate’s degree required; BSN preferred Current RN License 1-year Ophthalmology experience as a Surgery RN is a plus BLS certification required ASC experience preferred Bilingual preferred Detailed oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills This is a Safety Sensitive position Benefits & Perks Your health, happiness and your future matters! Pay rates range from $65.00 to $71.00 per hour based on shift, site needs, hire status, and experience. Full Time and Part Time positions may be available! As a Correctional Nurse Practitioner (NP ), you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with a range of medical conditions and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, respond to emergencies, etc. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs. Responsibilities The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant plays a critical role in our continued mission to provide quality care that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to: Conducting physical examinations, developing treatment plans and monitoring patients Managing acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes. Conducting rounds, evaluating patients returning from off-site treatment Admitting and discharging patients from the facility Qualifications Education / Licenses / Certifications / Requirements Advanced nursing education (Master's or Doctorate) Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in STATE Current DEA registration An appropriate collaborative agreement with the on-site Physician Must possess an active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA preferred) Be certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties Strong organizational skills are needed to keep track of patient treatment plans and progress notes Knowledge of nursing practice principles and techniques, occupational health and safety standards, infectious disease management, applicable health care laws, regulations, and procedures for direct health care services.
