Practice Highlights

New service in the OB Gyn department
Practice will include assistance with triaging patients, writing orders for and seeing patients undergoing chemotherapy, managing chemotherapy side effects, seeing post operative patients with complications, including occasional rounding at the hospital
Clinic hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Interest in building a new service to support oncology patients in the community
Minimum of 1 year of post-training NP or PA experience, preferably in Oncology
Experience in OBGYN and with procedures including colposcopies and biopsies a bonus
Flexibility with schedule is essential

Certification in BLS, ACLS, or PALs required as a condition of employment within 30 days of hire.

GYN Oncology Advanced Practice Provider

Position Summary The GYN ONC Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works under the clinical supervision of the GYN Oncologists . The role builds upon general advanced provider training and skill sets by requiring specialty focus in women’s services, chemotherapy management, and pre-and post-surgical follow-up. The APP maintains a case load of patients and bills appropriately for services rendered. Clinical support duties, under the supervision of a GYN Oncologist, include accurate preparation of chemotherapy orders, monitoring and evaluating progress of patients under treatment, rounding on patients, first call triage to appropriate surgical or medical coverage, and ongoing monitoring of patients on clinical protocols by working closely with GYN ONC clinical research coordinator.
