Job Summary

Golden Modesto Care Center in Modesto, California is seeking a Weekend Wound Care Nurse (LVN) responsible for managing wound care among residents and other duties assigned.

Essential Functions:

Assesses and treats residents' wound care needs
Supervises nursing care to residents
Complies with state and Federal Regulations
Works Collaboratively with members of the healthcare team
Maintains standards of professional nursing practice.
Provides back-up to Director of Nursing when needed.
Reviews assignments with Director of Nursing and Administrator.
Observes changes in resident status, needs or preferences, and communicates them appropriately to the Director of Nursing and/or Resident Care Manager.
Demonstrates knowledge of and adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, work, safety, and other emergency procedures.
Receives and executes written and verbal orders from the physician or designated agent, as permitted by state regulations.

Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:

Must possess a current LVN license in good standing.
Must have at least 1 year of experience in as a treatment/wound care nurse in a long-term care facility.
Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
