Floating Family Nurse Practitioner – Northeast FL Region

MainStreet Family Care is growing and we're looking to hire a fast, fun, and friendly Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to work across multiple clinics in your area! You will provide patient-focused care to help our patients feel better FAST! Boom! Services provided to the public include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will be flexible working with teams in different clinics and providing leadership in a high volume and fast-paced urgent care environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Minor surgery (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.)
  • Suturing
  • Splinting
  • General Orthopedic evaluations/management
  • Review of x-rays (to be over-read by Radiologist, too)
  • General Dermatology
  • General eye problems
  • General EKG interpretations
  • Emergency management skills
  • General GYN expertise
  • Treating children of all ages
  • Occupational medicine
  • Telemedicine


Schedule:

  • Shifts determined two months in advance
  • MainStreet Clinic Hours
    • Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
    • Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • KidsStreet Clinic Hours (Montgomery, AL, Pelham, AL, Mobile, AL, Tallahassee, FL, Gainesville, FL, Wake Forest, NC, Greenville, NC, Chapel Hill, NC, Wilmington, NC, Winston-Salem, NC, Athens, GA, Augusta, GA and Columbus, GA only)
    • Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
    • Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Work hours are subject to change based on company needs, training, floaters, etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required
  • MSN, or higher education required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred

Overview For Inpatient assignment, assists the attending physician in the care and management of patients on Inpatient units within the hospital. This includes making patient rounds, contributing to the decisions for daily care, writing orders, interacting with consultants, and facilitating and coordinating the scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures. Will make frequent bedside visits to assess the status of patients and direct care accordingly. May also see patients in the clinic environment. For Emergency Dept. assignment assists the Emergency Department physicians in the comprehensive medical care of the patient, in the emergency department and the chest pain observation unit and in any role the supervisory physician deems appropriate and consistent with applicable law, hospital regulation and licensure and clinical privileges. The incumbent will consult with the supervisory physician to determine the most appropriate care for patients. Acute Care ARNP or PA Required. For Clinic assignment, under supervision of an attending physician this position will provide diagnostic and therapeutic health care coverage for patients which will include but not be limited to taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, coordinating lab tests, diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and providing assistance to the patient regarding a plan of treatment and education.
