Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. 
  • Responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. 
  • Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. 
  • Patients need care 24/7 and facility employees must be available to provide that care. 
  • Employees are to care for patients regardless of the patient’s personal characteristics.

Qualifications:

  • RN Licensure in the State of New Mexico.
  • Graduation from an accredited RN Program
  • Prefer 2 years Nursing experience in Critical Care
  • Current BLS, ACLS & PALS & NRP Certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain such certification.

Job Summary: The Director of the Emergency Department is accountable for coordinating and directing Nursing activities in accordance with current standards of practice and all applicable regulatory requirements. The director participates in hospital committee activity as needed, and acts as a liaison between the Emergency Department, Physicians and other Departments.
