JOB SUMMARY

The Physician provides direct clinical treatment services to patients, ensuring that patients receive the treatment necessary to treat their medical complaint. The Physician works constructively and collaboratively with other health professionals and focuses on attaining high standards of healthcare within their specialty.

Duties may include patient care, instructing, monitoring, and advising other health care professionals, as appropriate.

JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Family Medicine/Internal Medicine physician to join an Outpatient, Primary Care practice in Jackson, MO.

Practice Details:

  • Join a multi-specialty, outpatient clinic

    • 2 Family Medicine Physicians

    • 3 Primary Care APPs and 5 Urgent Care APPs

    • 2 LCSWs

  • Outpatient Clinic also has a Pharmacy, Imaging Center, and Laboratory

  • This is an opportunity for a Primary Care physician to build a practice from the ground up within the current Primary Care clinic.

  • Ideal candidate would see an average of 16-20 patients a day

  • EMR: Epic

  • After hours call is phone call only (currently 1:6 rotation)

  • Current physicians and 1 APP participate in nursing home rounding once a week and take nursing home call (phone only)

  • Work environment/day-to-day work:

    • Work schedule: M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm outpatient clinic; Urgent Care hours M-F 8:00am - 7:00pm, Sat-Sun 8:00am - 5:00pm

Saint Francis Clinic - Piedmont (formerly known as Piedmont Physician Associates) has been providing primary healthcare in Piedmont for adults and children of all ages since 1970. Saint Francis Clinic - Piedmont promotes patient health through regular checkups, screenings, patient education and preventive care. When patients become ill or develop health conditions, our providers have the breadth of experience in family medicine to provide extraordinary care with the patient as the primary focus. Must also maintain a Controlled Substance license for the State of Missouri and Federal DEA. Must have successfully completed, an accredited residency program. Must maintain active medical privileges and medical memberships. Must be Board Eligible and complete certification within reasonable timeframe once hired, or be Board Certified Responsibilities: Join a clinic with 1 Primary Care physician and 4 APPs Work schedule: M-Thurs 8:00am – 5:00pm; Fridays 8:00am – 4:30pm Average number of patients seen by physicians: 25-26 per day Advanced Practice Providers average seeing 20-25 patients per day Primary Care providers participate in nursing home rounding Must be willing to collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers Specialists available on site include Cardiology and Orthopedics Blend of traditional family medicine and Urgent Care-type cases Experience: Competent in delivery of healthcare services for ages 0 to 120 years. Age specific competency is measured by a variety of methods, which may include, but are not limited to, self-learning packets, review of age specific guidelines, direct observation, video, simulation, unit-based class, policies and procedures, or chart review. JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS Education: - Graduate from accredited school of nursing and successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant Program.
