Job Responsibilities

Providing high-quality RN care in post-acute facilities
Reviewing various care options with the medical team, residents, and their family members
Coordinating with clinical teams to develop individualized care plans
Being accountable to follow and adhere to resident care plans
Administering appropriate medications and treatments to residents
Drawing fluids as needed for labs and testing
Using and monitoring medical equipment and devices to ensure effectiveness
Training and supervising nursing professionals and other care staff consistent with scope of practice guidelines
Promoting staff compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, facility policies, and nursing standards of care
Documenting all relevant data to include vital signs, nursing interventions and responses, and resident histories
Assisting staff members with incident investigations and the development of care best practices

Qualifications and Skills

Current Pennsylvania state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Successful completion of an approved nursing program
Minimum of 6 months of experience (RN or related role)
Advanced skills in multitasking, organization, and communication

Collects specimens following established policies for patient identification and specimen collection and ensures specimen is accurately processed for transportation to the laboratory. Records services rendered on power form, Medication Administration form (lab, urine, injections, etc.) and checks for accuracy. Completes physician orders for ancillary tests, surgeries or specialist referrals ordered and scheduled as directed. Follows confidentiality and security rules when providing information to outside sources. Directs patient to exit area post procedure. Assists in collection of statistical data as needed for performance improvement or operational requirements. Answers telephone, screens and directs incoming calls and messages to the appropriate party, answers patient inquiries either in person or on the telephone within the limits of his/her knowledge and medical practice polices. Travels to other IPG offices when needed to cover when requested. Performs any other services deemed reasonable by physician or practice manager.
