Department: 02380 HC Heart Center MOB 504 Redmond Rd - Urology Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: M-F Pay Range $18.50 - $27.75 Job Summary: Serving as a critical member of the patient care team, the Medical Assistant (MA) renders clinical care under the direction of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, or Physician Assistants. Primary duties of this position include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting information in the electronic medical record (EHR), administering medications, assisting with procedures and treatments, providing patient education, stocking exam rooms, and verifying that lab, x-ray or procedure reports are available for provider. The MA also accurately performs required computer functions including but not limited to medication reconciliation, coding of medical and laboratory procedures, order entry and scheduling of appointments. Requirements: 1. High School Diploma/GED 2. Medical Assisting diploma from a nationally recognized accredited program 3. This individual provides and maintains a clean, safe and quiet environment in support of patient comfort and contentment. The CNA promotes the practice of family-centered care. He/she provides supportive care to patients in all units with adequate supervision and cross training.
