Consisting of 53 beds, the employees of 5MEDICAL serve a diverse population of patients such as those with respiratory diseases, infectious processes, complications of chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, renal failure, diabetes, alcohol/opiate withdrawal and patients that require medical evaluation before transitioning to other care environments. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: · 1,000 hours of long-term care with geriatric or chronically ill persons. This translates to approximately 6 months of full-time work or 12 months of part time work. Department: 02250 AAH West Allis: Womens Care - Obstetrics/Gynecology Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 32 Schedule Details/Additional Information: We are seeking an experienced MA/LPN that will be supporting an OB/GYN clinic. The provider this position will be supporting GYN only, but MA may provide coverage to providers that see both OB and GYN patients. This position is onsite, working 8 days per pay period (0.8 FTE), weekdays only, work hours will vary between 07:15am-5:15pm. Travel between our West Allis and Franklin locations. Assignments are made at least 1 month in advance so MA will know which site they are working at for the day. Refers questions to Registered Nurses and Physician/APC per scope of practice guidelines and relays information back to patient as directed. May perform basic and advanced clinical support tasks or skills based on the specialty and appropriate competencies such as but not limited to removal of sutures and staples, laboratory procedures (throat/nose culture, drug screen), phlebotomy – butterfly, venous heel stick, EKG, spirometry, Holter monitor application, prescription refills using approved protocols, etc., under clinical supervision.
