Conduct hospital rounds as directed by individually assigned physicians Assist in the coordination of care and discharge planning Perform exams, episodic illness visits and follow up care visits Ordering laboratory and diagnostic testing and prescribing medications as needed Qualifications Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Assist with patient exams and explain any delays in procedures. Process requisitions/paperwork, review schedules and assist with retrieval of outside images. Control inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies. Assist with special projects as assigned such as Quality Assurance, Education, etc. Qualifications Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized courses or training preferred. Duties require computer skills, including knowledge of both hospital departmental computer systems. Basic knowledge of medical terminology required. Knowledge of office equipment and basic knowledge of patient care equipment is required. CPR certification required within 6 months.
