Hospital-based Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to assist our Trauma Surgeons with trauma/emergency room patients and inpatients to join our growing Level II Trauma Facility in Augusta, Georgia.  

Qualified Candidates:
  • We are recruiting for a full time advanced practitioner (PA or NP) that is comfortable with all aspects of Trauma. 
  • 2 years of PA/NP trauma and critical care experience preferred.
  • Position includes three 12 hour shifts per week with coverage of trauma/emergency, general surgery patients, mostly hospital floor inpatient coverage. 
  • This position is a key team member of the trauma team, assisting the trauma surgeons in critical situations and ICU patient management while facilitating patient progression to discharge.  (Does not include duties to assist surgeon in the OR.)
  • Responsibilities include: round on floor patients, ICU patients (trauma only), responding to trauma resuscitations and assist with trauma consultations in the ED; progress notes; H & P; Discharge summaries; respond to nursings phone calls; write orders.
  • Requirements: NP/PA GA license(unrestricted), ACLS, BLS, ATLS preferred
  • Desired characteristics: Clinical background in ED or critical care, strong critical thinking skills, able to function autonomously, strong communication and computer skills, comfortable working across disciplines to facilitate patient care.
