Responsibilities Schedule: Monday - Friday, within the core clinic hours of 0600 to 1800 Shift Structure: A flexible schedule, including 10-hour shifts, will be assigned by the Government supervisor to ensure clinic coverage and meet patient care needs. All shifts include a minimum 30-minute uncompensated lunch break. Perform patient recovery as required in the procedure room or following transportation to the designated recovery area. Performs a full range of nursing procedures to include, by not limited to: patient counseling and education, telephone consultations with patients, reviewing charts, intravenous fluid administration, oxygen administration, vital signs monitoring and recording, specimen collection, esophageal pH testing, pill camera endoscopy, manometry, and other unit specific procedures as prescribed by the provider. Completes orientation and competency verification programs in accordance with (IAW) unit guidelines. Completes initial and annual training independently. Participates in the orientation and training of newly assigned personnel, as Ensures a safe work environment, employee safe work habits and patient safety IAW regulatory agencies, infection control policies, and process improvement initiatives. Participates in peer Participates in committees, functions and other meetings as Provides relevant and timely information to these groups if asked. Assists with process improvement Participates in customer service initiatives, quality projects, and medical readiness activities, designed to enhance health services. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Education: BSN Degree. Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). * Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a clinical nurse in the medical/surgical, critical care inpatient, or emergency department settings and have been employed in one of those work settings within the past 36 months. Minimum of one (1) year experience providing moderate sedation with recovery * Licensure: Possess current unrestricted RN License from any state. * Life Support Certification: Possess current ARC or AHA BLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) are required. * Security: Possess the ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.
