How you’ll make an impact in this role Expertly scrub for high-acuity cases, including open-heart, vascular, thoracic, and emergency aortic dissections. Meticulously manage delicate CV tools, pledgeted sutures, and vascular grafts in a fast-paced environment. Anticipate critical needs during cardiopulmonary bypass cannulation and time-sensitive hemodynamic maneuvers. Proficiently operate specialized equipment, including cell savers, valvulotomes, and intraoperative ultrasound probes. Assists in suturing, retracting, suctioning under direction of the surgeon. Handles and identifies specimens per policy. Expedites the effective and efficient turn-over of the OR between cases. Takes rotating call duty.
