JOB SUMMARY: The Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor (RN) is assigned the education responsibility and accountability for Bridgewater Center’s nurse aide training program by assisting the lead program instructor. This individual has day-to-day responsibility for implementing Bridgewater Center's training program in accordance with the facility’s policies and procedures and State and federal requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Follows a lesson plan for the Nurse Aide Training Program that includes classroom and clinical training combined for at least 100 hours duration. Conducts interviews with applicants for the Nurse Aide Training Program to determine eligibility for acceptance into the class. Schedules class dates and time in cooperation with the Staff Development Coordinator and Program Coordinator. Assists in teaching the Nurse Aide Certification course; Coordinates students’ clinical and classroom experiences within the facility. Completes each nurse aide trainee’s performance record of major duties and skills learned and demonstrated. • Facilitates the Clinical Skills Evaluator/Nurse Aide Evaluator nurse aide competency evaluations as scheduled.
