Job Overview

The Nursing Supervisor represents hospital administration and, as such, serves as the delegated agent of the hospital administrative team invested with the authority of the same on the assigned shift. Responsible for coordinating, evaluating quality and clinical practice activities throughout the medical center in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, JCAHO and NJDOH licensing standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing
  • A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
  • Prior nursing supervisory or management experience
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Certifications And Licenses Required

  • Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • ACLS from the American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements

  • Full-Time
  • Night
  • 37.5 hrs weekly
  • Schedule will vary depending on department needs

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for coordinating and evaluating management and clinical practice activities throughout the Medical Center during the off-shifts, including weekends and holidays.
