Practices professional nursing care in an autonomous manner supported by evidenced-based practice, professional standards of care, and code of ethics. Provides care for patients across the life span in a manner sensitive to social and cultural diversity. The Registered Nurse manages the nursing care in an interdisciplinary manner, in collaboration with the healthcare team, family, and significant other. Integrates the Collaborative Model of Care with a strong focus on patient center care into daily practice.

  • BSN preferred.
  • Current Ohio RN licensure in good standing
  • Has practiced as a Registered Nurse within the last 3 years
  • CPR certification
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Medical/surgical experience required
  • Ambulatory and Endoscopy experience preferred

Job Requirements Graduation from an accredited nursing program Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse Bachelor of Science in nursing is preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire) BLS certification ACLS certification required within six months of hire ONS chemotherapy and Biotherapy administration certification (or obtained within 6months of hire if working in an infusion center) OCN certification preferred Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance to Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy/Biotherapy guidelines and able to administer these agents in accordance with ONS guidelines. (if hired to an infusion center) Responsible for knowledge of drugs/chemotherapy/biotherapy/immunotherapy treatments and procedures provided. Central line management and assessment of port function. Ongoing patient assessment prior to, during and following administration of treatment. Able to ascertain patient symptoms in relation patient’s regimen and other oncologic modalities of treatment.
