    • The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct and indirect patient care, while practicing within the scope of practice of the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

    DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
    • The PACU is a critical care unit where the patient's vital signs are closely observed, pain management begins, and fluids are given. The nursing staff is skilled in recognizing and managing problems in patients after receiving anesthesia.

    EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
    • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
    • Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire.
    • NLH PACU:
      • ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of hire.
      • One (1) year previous PACU/Critical Care experience preferred.
