Special Imaging Assistant - Full Time Nights

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Special Imaging Assistant to join our Radiology team. In this role, you will support technologists and clinical staff in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring a safe, efficient, and patient-centered experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care before, during, and after imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
• Educate patients and family members on exam preparation and procedures
• Prepare patients for imaging exams and assist technologists during procedures
• Transport patients throughout the facility (stretcher, bed, wheelchair, or ambulatory) and monitor patient condition during transport
• Assist with post-processing and image manipulation for radiologist interpretation
• Maintain and manage radiology records, including filing, tracking, and ensuring completeness using the Radiology Information System (RIS)
• Gather and input patient and departmental data accurately into computer systems
• Perform moderate or waived point-of-care testing in accordance with CLIA guidelines (if applicable)
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and restock supplies as needed
• Support team members and participate in additional assignments as required
• Provide care to patients across all stages of life

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer skills

Preferred:

• First Responder Certification
• Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
• Prior healthcare or patient care experience
