We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Special Imaging Assistant to join our Radiology team. In this role, you will support technologists and clinical staff in delivering high-quality imaging services while ensuring a safe, efficient, and patient-centered experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care before, during, and after imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety at all times
- Educate patients and family members on exam preparation and procedures
- Prepare patients for imaging exams and assist technologists during procedures
- Transport patients throughout the facility (stretcher, bed, wheelchair, or ambulatory) and monitor patient condition during transport
- Assist with post-processing and image manipulation for radiologist interpretation
- Maintain and manage radiology records, including filing, tracking, and ensuring completeness using the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Gather and input patient and departmental data accurately into computer systems
- Perform moderate or waived point-of-care testing in accordance with CLIA guidelines (if applicable)
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment and restock supplies as needed
- Support team members and participate in additional assignments as required
- Provide care to patients across all stages of life

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills
Preferred:
- First Responder Certification
- Experience with Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
- Prior healthcare or patient care experience
