An opportunity is available for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated one-on-one care for an elementary school student with a tracheostomy in the Tacoma, WA area. This contract role supports a trach-dependent student during school hours, ensuring their health and safety in a compassionate educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver personalized nursing care to a trach-dependent elementary student
Monitor and manage tracheostomy and ventilator needs throughout the school day
Collaborate with school staff to create a safe and supportive environment
Maintain accurate health records and communicate with healthcare providers as necessary
Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or health concerns

Qualifications:

Valid Washington State LPN certification
Proven experience working with trach and ventilator-dependent patients
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary school team
Strong communication and observational skills

Work Schedule and Location:

Contract position based in the Tacoma, WA area, with coverage also in nearby Sumner and Graham
Monday: 10:30 AM 4:00 PM
Tuesday through Friday: 9:30 AM 4:00 PM
Approximately 29 hours per week
Position lasts through the end of the school year (EOSY)
No bus riding or travel required; work is on-site with the assigned student
