Note, if the applicant is a FNP, a small percentage of adults will be assigned to maintain practice currency. Secures a health and developmental history from the patient or parent; records findings and makes critical evaluation. Examines patients, determines need for radiological examinations Laboratory tests, and interprets examinations findings and test results. Also, performs or requests special screening and developmental tests and interprets the results. Provides notification to patients of results and adjusts the treatment plans as clinically warranted. • Evaluates total health care needs of patients and develops a plan to meet these needs. Teaches patients and family member’s different ways to maintain or improve their health status. • Provides healthcare and preventative services to pediatric patients and their family members, including age specific anticipatory guidance in growth and development, nutrition, common illnesses, safety, and discipline. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: • Degree: Master's degree in nursing. • Education: Graduate from an academic program in the nursing specialty accredited by a recognized nursing accrediting agency (ACEN or CCNE). • Certification: National certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) • Experience: Minimum of 24 months of full-time, dedicated pediatric patient care experience as a Nurse Practitioner within the last 5 years, in a credentialed primary care setting.
