We Are Hiring: Registered Nurse (RN)- ICU- Waukesha Memorial Hospital- 0.6 FTE- 12 Hr Nights Waukesha Memorial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit is a 24 bed, multi-specialty unit including cardiovascular, neuro-surgical, medical respiratory, sepsis, drug overdoses, suicide attempts, a variety of other surgical, and trauma. This team works with adult and some pediatric patients. The ICU intensive care unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital has earned a silver-level Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN). The award recognizes unit caregivers for successfully improving patient outcomes and aligning unit practices with AACN standards. Units that receive this three-year award meet national criteria consistent with other national quality awards, such as the National Quality Healthcare Award. Waukesha Memorial is one of only two hospitals in Wisconsin to earn the silver-level Beacon award. (2013). Schedule Details: This 0.6 FTE commits to 24 hours per week of 12 hour night shifts 1900-0730. The candidate is required to work every third weekend and alternating holidays. At least 1 year of ICU experience preferred. This is not a seasonal or temporary position. What You Will Do: The Clinical Nurse is a competent practitioner who integrates theoretical knowledge with clinical experience in the care of patients and families. Care is delivered using a deliberate, systematic approach and practice is guided by increasing awareness of patterns of patient responses in recurrent situations. These nurses demonstrate a mastery of most technical skills and begin to view clinical situations from a patient and family focus as they provide professional nursing care within clinical areas/ campuses as required by staffing matrices. These nurses also supervise and direct delegated nursing acts commensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated abilities of the person supervised. What You Will Do: We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide support to the staff and patients on the unit. Qualified candidates will work independently providing resource information and general nursing care to patients. Completes clerical tasks related to regulatory annual requirements, audits and patient processes. What You Will Need: High School Diploma or Equivalent Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) - active or exipred on registry Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association- ability to obtain upon hire Must have a strong interest in customer service, able to multi task, work independently with little supervision. We Are Hiring: Registered Nurse (RN) - Waukesha Memorial - Ortho Neuro - .6FTE Weekend Program Nights About the Orthopedic Neurology Unit (4NW): Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients? 4NW at Waukesha Memorial Hospital is a 31-bed mixed acuity care unit specializing in the dynamic care of orthopedic and neurological patients. Orthopedic Care : Treat patients recovering from traumatic fractures, extremity injuries, and back pain, including post-surgical joint patients requiring safe and early mobilization. Neurology Care : Care for medical and surgical neurological patients, including stroke, movement disorders, traumatic brain and spinal injuries, and neurosurgical cases. Our team is NIHSS stroke certified , and all caregivers receive specialized training to ensure safe, high-quality care for our patients. We are proud to represent two Centers of Excellence recognized by the Joint Commission : Joint Replacement Center of Excellence (Hip & Knee) Stroke Center of Excellence Schedule Details: 0.6 FTE - weekend program nights (1900-0730) Weekend Program is eligible for a $10 per hour differential. What You Will Do: As a Registered Nurse (RN) , you will deliver compassionate, patient- and family-centered care in a collaborative, supportive environment. You’ll integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical expertise to care for diverse patient populations, utilizing a systematic and thoughtful approach. You’ll also: Provide professional nursing care on 4NW and potentially other clinical areas as required by staffing needs.
