Overview Join our 24/7 Emergency Department where our nurses work as a team and treat each other and our patients like family. Adult and pediatric hospitalists are available for consultation and patient admissions. Specialty coverage is provided by orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, urology and cardiology. We also have a stroke telehealth program in conjunction with St. Vincent Ascension in Indianapolis. We typically have 21,000+ visits a year with an average of 57 daily visits and six daily admissions. We offer competitive salaries, excellent benefits and flexibility. Responsibilities Supervises nursing personnel activities daily and participates in the delivery of general nursing duties. Administers prescribed medications and treatment following approved nursing procedures and physician order. Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of conditions and significant incidents. Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examinations of patients. Assesses patient vital signs to detect deviations from normal and determines patient progress. Has daily responsibility in areas of personnel assignments, supervises licensed and non-licensed personnel, patient placement, cost containment, patient and family education and customer satisfaction.
