Overview Works under general supervision in delivering technical nursing care to assigned patients. Administers prescribed treatments following approved nursing procedures. Responsibilities Assists in providing nursing care to patients. Plans appropriate nursing measures based on short-term patient needs. Under direction of the Clinical Coordinator, reinforces patient education as patient presents readiness to learn. Floats to other units within the practice when a need is indicated. Communicates effectively and establishes/maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel. Knowledgeable in the growth and developmental needs of infants through geriatric patients. Follows Universal Precautions. Successfully passes practice specific competencies.
