Care Tech- ER (PRN- 7p-7a)

PRN Nights: 7pm-7am Pre-Employment Requirements: We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required. Education Requirements: Validation of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Certification Requirements (Must be certified in Alabama): CNA Will consider Medical Assistant and teach bedside care. Will consider Paramedic/EMT experience and teach bedside care. Will consider care technician applicant with at least 3 years of recent patient care experience. BLS completion within 90 days of hire date - If currently enrolled in a nursing program, completion of Fundamentals of Nursing is a requirement. Responsibilities: Provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of Nurse Managers, RN’s and LPN’s. Provides for personal care, comfort, and assures patient safety. Must be dependable, hardworking, and a team player with a good attitude and professional behavior. Applicants will be responsible for vital signs, assisting nursing personnel, and helping patients with basic daily needs. Must have the ability to effectively communicate and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently. Other duties as assigned.

Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU Recovery

Position Overview: This position dayshift working 8a-8p with call. Pre-Employment Requirements : We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required. Job Requirements: Current RN License. Previous Critical Care, ER, or PACU experience preferred. ACLS and PALS certification need to be obtained within the 1st year of hire date. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a strong customer service focus. Strong assessment, organizational and problem-solving skills as evidenced by the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and role components required. Applicant must have excellent patient care assessment and customer service skills. Must also have the ability to prioritize and work compatibly in a busy and demanding outpatient environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements: We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required. Education/License Requirements Bachelors of Science in Nursing required . Current Alabama Registered Nursing License. Current American Heart Association BLS Card. Current American Heart Association ACLS Card. Position Requirements: Minimum 1 year ICU/Critical Care nursing experience required. Cath Lab experience preferred but not required. Ability to demonstrate all skills required of a staff RN. Must possess good verbal and written communication. Demonstrates ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently. Effective communication and excellent customer service, interpersonal and critical thinking skills required. Ability to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, inter professional care team and patients, and their families. Must be able to take call at night and on weekends; plus, two holidays a year.
