Are you a new Nurse Graduate? Start your career with San Luis Valley Health, and move with confidence from the classroom to the bedside when you join our team and participate in our Nurse Residency Training Program. In addition to the specialized training you will obtain as part of the Nurse Residency and On-boarding programs, you will work as a Staff RN fulfilling all routine duties within your assigned unit. We have openings for full-time and part-time positions. 

What You'll Need:  

  • Associates Degree in nursing required; Bachelors of Science in Nursing Preferred  
  • Current active RN license with State of Colorado Board of Nursing   
  • BLS required. 
  • ALS, PALS required within six months of hire.

What You'll do:

  • Active and engaged participation in Nurse Residency Program  
  • Response to all situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols   
  • Provide nursing care to patients within an assigned unit or cross-trained unit and ability to document using electronic medical record   
  • Observes patients, recording significant conditions and reactions, and notifies provider of patient’s condition and response to drugs, treatments, and any change in patient’s condition
