Job Summary: Behavioral Emergency Department RN Nights Job Description: The Behavioral Acute Care RN in the ED is responsible for providing direct and indirect care to patients in a behavioral emergency setting, delegating tasks to other care team members as needed, and providing safe, effective, and compassionate care to our patients. Patients and families will look to you for education and knowledge on improved health outcomes. You will assess, prioritize, and triage patients according to set guidelines, continuously monitor your patients while interpreting changes in patient condition, and work collaboratively with providers to implement lifesaving procedures. Job Requirements: Current RN Maine RN License required Desire to work in behavioral acute care setting BLS training completion a plus but will be provided upon hire Collaborative positive team focus Behavioral Health Nursing experience a plus. Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the RN performs patient care functions as approved by the State of Maine Board of Nursing and St. Joseph Hospital policies and procedures. The Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse will provide direct supervision for the shift the RN is assigned. Job Summary: The CNA is an essential member of the patient care team who contributes to the well-being and comfort of patients during their stay by providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry. · Performs assigned treatments, procedures, and other related tasks according to facility policies/protocols and within the scope of the CNA position: · Assists with personal hygiene, toileting, ambulation, mobility, positioning, mealtime, oral care, and foley drains/ostomies, as needed, utilizing adaptive equipment as indicated. · Actively participates in the established plan of care. · Responds promptly to call lights, provides transport, maintains a clean environment, and follows principles of infection control. · Accurately documents on graphic and flow sheets in computer charting: vital signs, weights, and ADL care provided. · Maintains confidentiality, privacy, and patient rights. · Maintains required licenses, certifications, and competencies, and completes annual compliance courses on time. · Ortho Dept - Will work with surgical patients who have had joint replacements and abide by the standards of care set forth by St. Mary's Hip & Knee Replacement Interdisciplinary Team. · Float Pool CNA – Reports for assignment and proceeds to any department that the Director/Manager/Nursing Supervisor assigns, without delay. · May be asked to float to other departments. · Maintains required licenses, certifications, and competencies, and completes annual compliance courses on time. · Supporting student learning is a shared responsibility.
