We are searching for a talented Surgical Technologist I 

 

*$7,500 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)*

 

Hours: 40hrs  

Shift: Day shift, 7:00am - 5:30pm with weekend, holiday and on call rotation  

Location: Charlton Memorial Hospital - Fall River, MA

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Manager or designee. Perform various duties including but not limited to: provide assistance to surgical team during the intra-operative phase, provide aseptic, safe, appropriately equipped and functional surgical environment. Responsible for OR preparation, instrument supply and assembly, maintenance of sterile fields, hands off instruments and initiation of counts throughout procedures. Perform Surgical Technologist duties including on-call duties as need or required.

Qualifications

  • Equal to completion of 4 years of high school plus additional specialized courses or training is required.
  • Graduation from an approved Surgical Technology Program is required.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologist within 12 months of graduation from program or within 6 months of hire if greater than 12 months from graduation.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support is required.
  • One (1) year of related work experience is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

 

 

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. 

Pay Range

USD $31.98 - USD $47.62 /Hr.

Certified Surgical Technologist

$25.16 - $38.42 / hour
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assists in the surgical suite during surgical procedures; functions within the protocols, practice guidelines, procedures and physician directives of Sturdy Memorial Hospital, and the Department of Nursing in accordance with the Massachusetts rules and regulations for ancillary health care providers, CDC and OSHA standards, and any other applicable regulatory or accreditation agency.
