Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking a per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Hospitalist (Admitting) to join our community-based hospital in Attleboro, MA. We are a patient-focused organization and looking to grow our team with hospitalists who are dedicated to providing meaningful patient care. Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (ICU-Nocturnal) - Per diem

Job Description Summary The Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive care to critically ill patients. This position will work under the clinical supervision of a physician Intensivist, within the guidelines of nursing process and Advanced Practice Provider protocols as outlined in Patient Care Guidelines for Advanced Practice Provider. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant performs physical assessments, collects and documents data, conducts approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies, prescribes appropriate interventions and medications, and provides direct patient care services in the ICU setting. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant contributes to excellence in patient care, teaching, consulting and provides leadership to the organization and nursing profession. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 24 - Performing under the direction of the RN/LPN and as a member of the unit-based patient care team, the Certified Nursing Assistant performs duties of direct and indirect patient care. As delegated, the direct patient care tasks includes but are not limited to activities of daily living, vital signs, glucometry, EKG’s, weights and Intake/Output data collection.
