Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides direction to professional and non-professional clinical personnel in providing direct patient care.  The Registered Nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services assisting all patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. Through collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Previous clinical nursing experience.

 

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

 

Current licensure in Texas as a registered Nurse

Certified through the American Heart Association Basic Life Support required.

ACLS certification preferred within the first year of hire.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

 

Interpersonal and critical thinking skills required.  Excellent communication and team work skills.  Basic clinical, computer & typing skills.

Treatment/Wound Nurse As a Treatment/Wound Nurse at Advanced Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center of Garland , you will be responsible for performing resident skin assessments, obtaining treatment orders, administering treatments as ordered, and documenting appropriately to help ensure that resident skin integrity is improved and/or maintained. Supervising care treatment and services of patient care provided by LPNs, CNAs and other staff on assigned unit and shift. Developing, implementing, and evaluating an individual plan of care for each client. Assessment and re-assessment of patients. Communicating appropriate information with the interdisciplinary team. Reporting client concerns and changes in condition to supervisor and/or physician in a timely manner.
