Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Master’s degree or higher from an accredited school appropriate for certification as a Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant. (CNS certification is not acceptable if hired after January 1, 2010) Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience is preferred. Licensure in the State of Illinois as an APRN/PA is required. Clinical privileges through credentialing by the Medical Staff Office achieved within 90 days of hire. Practices under the direction of advanced practice provider or physician providers until fully credentialed and privileged Basic Life Support certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification and/or other specialty certification is required in some areas within 6 months of employment. Any other certification required for specialty area. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
