Overview The Oncology Nurse Navigator serves as an advocate for patients in accessing treatment services while promoting a positive patient experience for the individual and their family. This position also serves as a role model and resource to oncology nursing staff at UF Health St Johns with regards educational and program needs for complex clinical situations. Responsibilities Serves as a clinical expert in helping cancer patients and their families navigate through the healthcare system. Serves as a patient advocate in expediting patients’ access to hospital services, minimizing delays and ensuring a positive patient experience. Serves as a role model in oncology nursing for Flagler Hospital staff, acting as a resource in oncology nursing, particularly with complex clinical situations by assessing educational needs and planning programs accordingly.
