Provide urgent and non-urgent care for all patients. Obtain a health history from the patient and records findings. Perform special screening and diagnostic tests, request laboratory tests and radiographic studies and uses the results in assessing the patient's medical problems. Provide advice and screens patients by telephone and in person to determine nature and urgency of their problems. Assess the physical and psychological health status of patients and their families through health and developmental history-taking and physical examination in accordance with (IAW) established protocols. Develop and provide individual and group patient health teaching as appropriate on topics related to health promotion. Prescribe a variety of medications to patients based on the medical treatment facility (MTF) formulary. Performs other duties as assigned.
