These nurses will assist the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. The Operating area at Univeristy of Iowa Health Care features 42 operating rooms dedicated to adult surgical specialties and operates 24/7. Intra-operative services are organized into 7 teams staffed by Registered Nurses and Surgical Technologists. Characteristic Duties of our Staff Nurses include but are not limited to: Applies nursing theory to the assessment diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health and illness. Assesses patient health care preferences and expectations. Collaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across settings.
