JOB TITLE : Registered Nurse Care Coordinator Key Tasks and Responsibilities Perform nurse visits in the clinic, including vitals, medication reviews, perform pill counts, post‑procedure checks, follow‑up assessments, and patient education. Serve as the primary nursing point of contact for patients requiring ongoing care coordination. Assist with patient assessments, medication reconciliation, and review of medical histories. Monitor treatment response, side effects, complications, and care plan adherence. Coordinate referrals, imaging, diagnostic testing, and specialty care. Collaborate with providers to develop, implement, and modify individualized pain management care plans. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR. Communicate effectively with providers, MAs, schedulers, and external partners. Participate in clinic meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance activities. Actively support and uphold the mission and core values of KSSH. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage patients empathetically by phone and in person. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient needs, prescription requests, and provider communications simultaneously. Knowledge of pain management medications, common side effects, and monitoring requirements. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team. Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and compassionate care. Qualifications Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required and/or obtained within 60 days of hire. Previous experience in a clinic or pain management setting strongly preferred. Knowledge of pain management techniques, medications, and procedures is desirable. Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office products. Environmental and Physical Requirements Works in a temperature-controlled environment. Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Requires cognitive skills for math, reading, filing, and sterile technique. Vision requirements include near, mid-range, far, and accommodation. Communication skills necessary to interact effectively with employees, patients, families, and physicians. JOB TITLE: Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures in the ASC setting. The RN functions in pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases of care while ensuring compliance with CMS ASC Conditions for Coverage, infection control standards, and patient safety regulations. Continuously monitor: Hemodynamics Cardiac rhythm Oxygen saturation Blood pressure Assist physician with sterile technique and equipment preparation. Document medications, contrast volume, and procedural events in real time. Respond appropriately to emergencies (arrhythmias, hypotension, contrast reactions). Operate defibrillator and emergency equipment. Post-Procedure Responsibilities Recover patients in PACU or monitored recovery area. Assess access site (radial/femoral) for bleeding or hematoma. Monitor distal pulses and vascular status. Manage sheath removal. Manage radial band removal. Provide discharge education: Activity restrictions Wound care Medication instructions Emergency warning signs Ensure discharge criteria are met per ASC policy. Gathers pertinent patient care data using all available resources. Relates effectively with other shifts/departments for optimal continuity of care. Documents nursing care to maintain an accurate and legal medical record. Assures efficiency of unit operations and goods in proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Able to operate specialized equipment included in the acute care unit equipment checklist. Assures adherence to safe standard of care and regulatory expectations. Serve as a leader of patient care and role model/mentor in performance/behavior events. Performs other duties as assigned by Nursing Director. Manages the care of patients undergoing procedures requiring analgesia, sedation and anesthesia. Attends meetings and participates in ongoing training. Utilizes special knowledge of age-specific differences in acute care patients to recognize changes in patient status. Actively participates in appropriate committees and QA/PI activities. This role focuses on evaluating and managing patients with acute and chronic pain conditions while collaborating closely with pain management physicians and clinical staff to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care.
